In fact, attached are picture of our little man Ayden helping post one of the flags in front of his house - the little guy had not been feeling well, but nothing was going to stop him from enjoying the excitement of his daddy coming home!
Of course a few days ago Megan and Dave had received word they could possibly be relocating to Germany. As you can imagine we were saddened by the news - However we are happy to report at this time they have received news that they are remaining in our little cool de-sac" and we would not have it any other way!
We topped the night off by placing a bon-fire at the end of the cul-de-sac to help shine some light on the flags - and several of the neighbors came outside to give a round of applause to the returning family.
Welcome Home Dave - It is so nice to see your family complete!
On another note I would like to share just a quick story about Dave's journey home - Dave had hoped to be home Saturday mid-afternoon and was unable to make that flight.
So Megan and her mother in law found a flight leaving early Sunday morning via Delta Airlines. To their surprise there was four remaining seats into SLC via first class. . . Megan asked that these seats be made available to Dave and the follow members of his unit since there were no seats available in coach. . . can you believe that they refused to upgrade them into first class, nor ask any of the other passengers to upgrade or inquiry if anyone would be willing to help by giving up their seats for these men to return home to their families.
As you can imagine this was very fustrating and upsetting for Dave's family and in support of them I ask each of you who read this blog to think twice before booking with Delta Airlines.
