Micah and I will be going to Salt Lake City to meet Sam for the first time. During this visit we will be able to review his case file and the progress he has made up to this point.
We are still awaiting the results of our background checks - Hopefully Micah won't find about that one time when I was . . . Never mind where I was going with that! I was just joking anyways - geeezh!
At this point what we do know is that we are planning on taking Sam into our home regardless of his past. Hopefully our background checks will be back by the time he returns from his group home activity. Last we knew Sam was not aware of his transition to our home, but is looking forward to an activity the weekend of June 19th-21st where he is going camping and boating. So in order for him not to miss that he has to remain in the group home until that activity is over.
What we do know about him is:

- He is 17 years old
- He will be a Senior next year at Syracuse High School.
- He has made such great progress that he can function just as any other teenager, he can have a job, he can go out on dates, he can hang out with friends, and can participate in after school activities such as sports and clubs.
